About Us Church Family, What We Believe, Church Staff

Our Church Family

St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church is a small congregation in the south part of Fort Collins. We are a church of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. There are about 260 members in our church. Our church’s mission statement is: “Bringing hope to all through God’s Saving Word.”

What We Believe

  • The whole Bible is God’s Word, complete and without error; it is the sole source for teaching and doctrine.
  • Humankind is naturally corrupt and sinful, unable to gain God’s favor.
  • God in his justice demands perfection from us our whom lives.
  • God in his love sent his Son, Jesus to live the perfect life for us and die to death we deserved.
  • As a result, all who believe in Jesus as their Savior have eternal life in heaven.
  • This faith naturally causes believers to respond joyfully with lives of service and thankfulness to God.
  • God will return to judge all who have ever lived. Believers will spend eternity in a physical heaven while unbelievers will spend eternity in a physical hell.
  • Now is God’s time of grace for all humandkind so that all may hear this Good News of free salvation.
  • Ask Pastor about how you can join a Bible Information Class to learn more! You can also visit the website of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod for a comprehensive description of Lutheran doctrine.
